My sympathy to Gillian Deirdre and Sandra on the passing of your lovely mum. I remember her smile and wonderful energy as she and your dad set up the athletic club in the pitch behind our house. Every weekend they had the youth of Athy buzzing with excitement as they organised races long jumps and every ability was encouraged. My late mam Vi enjoyed her lovely company on many a day on the golf course and beyond.
