Rena was one of the most gracious, kind and generous hosts. Many fabulous weekends in Killarney with Kate where Rena always welcomed us with her beautiful gracious smile. To this day I still love stewed apple and custard, the desert she always had for us.
Kate and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. An amazing lady who will be so sadly missed.

I am so very sorry to hear this. I can only say what an absolute legend I thought Rena was ..meeting her for the first time in my adult life about 2 weeks before she got sick. It was so lovely to hear her stories and O keeffe family lore. What a character! I was sorry not to have met her before.XXX RIP.

We are so saddened to learn of Rena's passing. She was such an elegant, charming woman. Annual visits to her extraordinary crib in St. Mary's Cathedral were always a must for us and our children for over twenty years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.
