I first met Brian in Sierra Leone in 1975 and was immediately struck by his generosity of spirit, kindness and laughter. He loved to laugh. After 48 years we reconnected (twice) in Dublin in April 2023. We spoke again a few months ago, when he was still recovering from his recent illness. So it is sad, for all of us, that this big man is gone. May his memory be a blessing and comfort to his family and his friends. RIP Brian.
