Sincere sympathy to Lily, Jimmy and family, the Mulvey Family, extended Gavigan Family and Opus Dei prelature on the sad passing of Fr Jim. I have fond memories of my dear second cousin Fr Jim when playing tennis with him at Gortard Galway and I had the pleasure of being his caddy on the golf course in Roshill with my brother Kevin! Fr Jim was so thoughtful and caring; always remembering my birthday and helping me to find accommodation when I went to university in Dublin. Fr. Jim loved to share his deep faith, he gifted me with my first adult Bible which he kindly signed; I shall cherish this bible forever. Fr Jim, please continue to intercede with the good Lord for me. May your gentle soul rest in peace and may you enjoy your eternal reward in heaven.

Sincere sympathy to Lily, Jimmy and family, the Mulvey Family, extended Gavigan Family and Opus Dei colleagues on the sad passing of Fr. Jim. I first had the pleasure of meeting Fr Jim on my wedding day in September 1971 when he concelebrated our Wedding Mass with his cousin Fr Liam (RIP). He also baptised our first born son in Castlegar Church in September 1972. During his time in Galway he regularly visited us and he enjoyed watching a few All Ireland hurling finals with us on TV. In 2002, I was a member of his group in Rome for the canonization of Saint Escriva and he gave us a conducted tour of the city during our stay. He will always be remembered as a dear friend by our family and we will miss him very much. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
