So very sad to learn of Fr Jerry's passing. He was one of a kind, always in good humour and full of fun. His Masses were special and even the children responded to him as his deep faith and spirituality shone through his mischievous nature. Gerry’s family and friends, a lovely man , loved his Christmas Eve masses in Faha when we visited Waterford at Christmas , always made the journey to hear him say mass , the kids loved it too . When we were home on holidays he christened our son in Ballylaneen church for us . Met him on a few occasions when visiting Waterford and he was always the same jolly , funny , full of life person , I’m sure he will be greatly missed by his parishioners as well as his family and friends. Condolences to Fr Jerrys family and friends. I knew Jerry well and had many a laugh with him. He was a rogue at times, some might say he was even a chancer. Between the Greyhounds, the hurling and his mischief he brought a smile to many and raised an eyebrow to some too. Rest in peace Jerry.
