On my behalf and of that of my dear departed wife Valerie, with whom I shared the view that saintly John was of a prime Episcopal concerning nature, we are devastated at your loss.

When God asked the Gentle Man, John Cummins to 'Lay His Hand On The Plough and Follow Him' - John did not turn around to see if God was calling somebody behind him. He put his hands on the plough and pushed forwards ploughing the fields of faith which he shared with so many people.
God scored an 'own goal' when he called John to continue his Ministry in Heaven and the loss of this gentle man and kind Priest will be felt by many.
My prayers and sympathy are with his Mother Renee and her Family and also with John's extended Church Family - Bishop Denis, His Brother Priests and the whole Church Community.
May the Choirs of Angels welcome him to paradise and may God hold him in the palm of his hand.
