Fr Jacob married my late husband & I in 2017 in Walkinstown Church. He was so accommodating & made everything so easy. He also called most days to see my late husband prior to his passing, to bring communion & pass some time with us. His generosity of time & kindness to us will never be forgotten by me.

So sorry to hear of Father John's passing. He was a lovely kind man and welcomed me to the the family warmly all those years ago. Will always remember John fondly for jointly officiating at Imelda and my marriage in Wiltshire in 1982.

John when he was Chairperson of the Board of Management of Our Lady of the Wayside NS in Kilternan and have many happy memories of his involvement with the school during those years. His gentle, easy-going and down to earth manner endeared him to many. He was a decent, caring, fair- minded member of the Board at all times and of the school community and I valued enormously his advice and his practical common- sense approach.

Over the years he officiated at many events in our family life, including weddings and funerals, and he always brought a warmth and kindness to the occasion. During his time in the locality we enjoyed many a chat with him over a cup of coffee at the kitchen table, trying to put the world to rights no doubt.
We will remember Fr. Jacob with fondness and gratitude for all he did for our family in times of joy and sadness.
