We knew Fr. Mike very well during his time in Vallejo, CA. We were very close and we would always send Christmas cards to each other even though our lives went in our separate directions. He married my husband Rick and I in Vallejo 29 years ago. He was a part of my childhood and was always over our house. Even though we have not seen him in years, I will miss his humor and love for us and us for him. He was a gem. Prayers for his family and friends who will miss him terribly I'm sure.
Dear Family and Friends of Fr. Michael,
I had the privilege of knowing this robust and spirited man in America. I managed his legal affairs and looked after him until he returned to Tallaght/Montenotte recently. He was a man of humour and intellect, very engaging and charming, and 'twas a pleasure to serve him. My deepest condolences to all that loved him, and I pray for the repose of his soul.
With Sympathy,
Roy Shannon
