So sad to hear that Fr. H had passed. I have wonderful memories of Martin , playing football with all the teams in Rockbrook in the 80's. Martin loved his football and loved going out to play , no matter the weather. Always great company, always a gentleman. Rest easy Martin, and thank you for being a wonderful friend.......

So sad to hear of Fr.H’s passing. He was a wonderful holy priest who was so attentive to all my family over the years. I remember his bike in the hallway of our home, with all his bits and bobs on it, and he always had a lovely greeting for my dear Mom, and Dad if he was there. “The Priest can’t stay for Dinner” he would protest.

His influence is definitely carrying on through the generations. May he rest in peace, in his eternal reward.

A great man and a dear friend. Fr H always had time for a chat and great advice.

One of life’s true gentlemen, always willing to make time for you and would often, offer advice and support, but was a great listener when needed. I have many a fond memory of Fr H during my time at Rockbrook.

So many memories of you in Rockbrook (which you’d refer to as ‘The Seventh Heaven’) your index cards to remember everyone’s birthdays, the cycling trips, The Beatles - strictly early Beatles of course! A family friend for as long as I can remember, your advice and guidance was always appreciated, and of course you married myself and Caoimhe. You have left a lasting impression on so many. Thank you and rest in peace Fr H, ‘The Priest’.

Of all my memories of Rockbrook none are as vivid as playing football with the Iron rock that was Father Hannon,
He was quite simply a gentleman and it was a pleasure to have known him

Deeply saddened by Fr. H’s passing. He was a wonderful mentor and friend from Rockbrook and beyond. He was a gentle soul and always had sound instruction to keep one on the straight and narrow.
I jested to him once as to where he got the strength to listen and counsel. He chuckled and said he shares his birthday with the feast day of St. Jude - the Patron Saint of lost causes (Oct 28th).

Fr Hannon was an extremely kind and selfless man who was an inspiration to all of us in Rockbrock who had the privilege to know him. He was a great man for simple images that conveyed deep and enduring truths, and helped many of us in the school through hard times when we faced them. We will miss him hugely. May he rest in peace

I don't think that anyone who attended Rockbrook School will ever forget Father Hannon. He was a truly selfless man who devoted his life to helping and caring for others. May he rest in peace.

A great fella. Great listener and just a sound man. Fond memories of him cycling up the ballyboden Road and playing football and never failing to knock in for birthdays, even if I hadn't been there to see him for one for probably 15 years. Thankfully knocked in to see him in clontarf a while back. A gent all 'round and one of the good ones. Will be missed by my mam and dad too. RIP
