Expressing my sympathies to the O’Loughlin & O’Malley families on the passing of Fr. Michael. I have lovely memories of Fr. Michael while I attended St. Angela’s NS in Castlebar. I always looked forward to his visits to our school where both Sr Assumpta Corkell & himself would teach us some lovely hymns. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Condolences to Fr Michael's family, colleagues and friends on his death. He was one of the volunteer diocesan priests who worked in the Ndola Diocese in Zambia in the early 80s. I have a very happy memory of visiting him there with my aunt,the late Sr. Nuala Newell, and enjoying his hospitality, good humour and of course many, many stories. May he rest in peace.

I'm very sad to hear of Michael's death. We were friends since we met in Maynooth in '61. I visited him in Rosscarbery ( and in a number of parishes where he served). I most remember his humour, dedication and great singing voice. When he came to our class reunions he lead the hymns with great gusto. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis!
