I knew Fr Ultan thanks to the Franciscans in Waterford city where I would attend Confession and go to pray in their wonderful church.
Waterford isn't the same without the Franciscans.I want to thank him for his service

I am very sorry to hear of Ultan’s passing. He was a very good friend of my late sister and brother-in-law Eileen and Tom Coughlan and I have fond memories of meeting him in their home in Dublin many times. May he rest in peace.

When Fr Ultan moved to Cork from Waterford Fr Troy kindly arranged that Fr Ultan could celebrate Mass during the week at the hospital for patients and staff. We really enjoyed his visits. It was lovely to get to know this generous missionary who was so humble about his achievements. May he enjoy the reward he so richly deserves. Michael and all at Mercy University Hospital.Cork.
