I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of the Rev Kev. Not being religious at all, Kevin, and the beautiful church have featured very much in my life, and Rev Kev had something to do with that and I am thinking of Sallyann and family at this time, ❤️
My deepest sympathy to Jenny, Tara and Sally-Ann. Kevin - 'Rev-Kev' to most of us - was a vital, inspiring and dedicated priest but he was also mischievous, funny, and frequently irreverent. I remember him with admiration and a smile.
So sorry to hear of Kevin's passing, Jenny, Tara, Sally Ann and Family. We missed the funeral due to a mixup on dates of our return to Ireland, and we regret that very much, as Kevin was a larger than life figure in our lives, very generous with his time, his wit, and his help, in any way he could. We are just very glad to have known such a solid and decent human being, and to have had the pleasure of his company on so many occasions, even when he was grumpy!! We will never look across from Roundstone without thinking of The Rev.Kev.
Thanks for everything Kevin.
Thanks for everything Kevin.
Deepest sympathy to Jennifer, Tara, Sally-Ann and your families. Many fond memories of Kevin over the years but most especially of the visits he made to my grandparents, Bob and Dolly Bell. Kevin’s kindness touched many, many lives.
I have so many happy memories of Kevin, starting in our mutual student days, but mainly coming from his long period as my Rector in Monkstown. Kevin outside the church with a plastic bucket, collecting money from passers-by to help alleviate disasters overseas ... Kevin visiting my mother in her nursing home on her 97th birthday ... Kevin winning the main prize (a suitable bottle) in the Mothers' Union raffle raising funds for its good work worldwide ... and many more. My deepest sympathy goes to Jennifer, Tara, Sally-Ann and their families.
Wonderful memories of my friend The Rev Kev from our time in The Harding and later in Grosvenor Square & Castlewod Avenue, so in an Ecumenical sense I now celebrate 'a months mind' thought after our close friendship for almost three quarters of a century . The huge outpouring of sympathy here following his passing on to glory is a testimony to the esteem in which Kevin is held after a long and fulfilled life well lived . I know he greatly valued the love & care he received from Miss Carr & staff at 'Number 5 ' .during his formative years . Kevin now "Resting where no shadows fall , In perfect peace he awaits us all, God will link the broken chain , when one by one we meet again .........Jennifer , Tara, Des , Daniel & Ella Rose. Sally Ann , Luke & Lily , & Mary continue in our thoughts & prayers in your bereavement .

I was deeply saddened to learn of Kevin's death. We served together on the Executive of the Diocesan Youth Council for a number of years. I always enjoyed his enegy, enthusiasm and wicked sense of humour. Aine and I were delighted that he concelebrated our ecumenical wedding and also joined us for our 25th Anniversary.
Aine and I send our deepest condolences to Jennifer and family.

I have fond memories of happy days in Grosvenor Square, the poker dinners and his friendship and kindness to us when Vivian was ill.
We will never forget Xmas Day 2010 when Kevin came through snow and ice to visit Vivian in the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook.

So sorry to hear of the death of Kevin. What a wonderful service for him. We as a family have such fond memories of his visits to our home while he was Rector of Drumcondra. His funny down to earth Christianity was the way to go. His like do not come along very often. Sympathy to Jenny Tara Sally-Ann and all the family
Dear Jennifer and family, we were so sad to hear that the Rev Kev has made the final journey, he was very kind to us when we got married in Monkstown and later christened our eldest daughter in the middle of the children's nativity play. I have his memoir on my bookcase and lend it out often. Please accept our deepest sympathies, Carol, Roger, Sophie-Mae and Rosanna Turner.
Kevin was a force of nature. A Jameson drinking, poker playing, republican who had more Christianity in his little finger than anyone I have ever met. He always filled the room and you had to pay attention as his compliments came with barbs attached and his criticisms came wrapped in velvet. Once when I was murdering a tune he said "you have a lovely voice, you should have it trained". Kevin was predictably unpredictable. It was pure joy to spend a few hours in his company. The world will be a lesser place without him. The thoughts of our family are with Jenny and all her family.
We were saddened to hear of Kevin's death and we send our sympathy and love to Jenny and her family.
To Jennifer, Tara, Sally Ann and all your loved ones. It's hard to believe that Kevin has departed this life however our great and treasured memories of him will remain vivid and strong for a long time to come. Rest peacefully Kevin.
To Jennifer, Tara, Sally Ann & Family.
We are so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. We have great memories to look back on, St. Brigids youth club, the cleaning up of a graveyard in Sneem, Co. Kerry, but most of all the christening of our 3 boys. We had many a great laugh over the odd drink at home. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.
Pat, Felicity and family.

Sorry for your loss at this time Sally Ann and family. I remember meeting your Dad years ago at your house. Such a warm and welcoming gentleman. Only years later I heard about his book and his personal journey through life, a truly inspiring person.
I write this message as one who did not know Rev Kevin personally but rather as one that is beginning to know him through his book. I wish him peace eternal and very blessing upon his family that they maybe comforted by Our Heavenly Father.

Jennifer, Sally Anne and Tara,
My sincere sympathies on the loss of Kevin. What a great character he was. In all my time as organist in Monkstown he supported me in my musical endeavours with respect and good humour, it really was a golden time. He made me promise not to leave the post before he retired - which I didn’t. Rest well.

Dear Jennifer, Tara, Sally Ann and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Kevin's passing. I have so many happy childhood memories of him on Sunday school trips to Silver Strand, I think we even buried him in sand one year! He was such a good friend to my parents, the late Doug and Mary. He also married myself and John back in 2008. He holds such a special place in our hearts and will be greatly missed. I hope that your lifetime of memories will comfort you during this difficult time. Sending you love. Victoria

I’m saddened to learn of Kevin’s passing. He was such a kind and considerate being - I fondly recall his compassion and consideration to me on Siobhan’s sudden passing twenty years ago when he really understood the position, and indeed on many occasions, he was just a great guy - rest well dear friend.
Deepest sympathy to Jennifer, Tara and Sally-Ann and all the family on the death of Kevin. He was such a big-hearted, generous and kind colleague, friend and priest but also a total scallywag! Lots of great memories of him as Rural Dean, and of great parties for the clergy and their spouses of the Rural Deanery, host by Kevin and Jennifer. I am so sorry that I was not able to attend his funeral this morning but I have just watched it online. Thinking of you all and praying for strength for you in the days ahead.
Both Sam and I were so sorry to read of Kevin's passing and send our sincere sympathy to you Jenny, Tara, Sally Ann and the extended family.

I was very fond of Kevin and always enjoyed any time spent in his company. He was there for me during sad times and also the happy times. I came back to Dublin from Scotland to have Kevin christen my first born - I couldn't imagine anyone else doing it! Megan knows herself that she was baptised by a very special man - the "Rev Kev".
Sadly I wasn't able to make it home for the funeral but watched it live and it was a lovely service. Sending my sincere condolences to Jenny, Tara and Sally Ann and their families. RIP Kevin - it was a privilege to know you.

So many wonderful memories of Kevin. He would breeze up the avenue with a story and a smile, we loved his visits. Sincere sympathy to Jennifer, Tara, Sally Ann and family.
Jenny, all your friends at Wednesday Bridge would like to offer their sincere sympathy to you, Tara, Sally Anne and extended family on the passing of Rev Kevin, you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
It is with great sadness that I have learned of Kevin's passing. I first came to know him away back in the late eighties in the context of an inter church wedding (Anne and Dermot). I admired him greatly. He was a deeply committed pastor who gave daily witness to his faith in his down to earth care for people. I remember too his capacity for irreverence if he thought the occasion warranted it. My sincere sympathy to all his family. May he rest in the peace of the Lord that he so faithfully served in this life.
