Such sad news to hear of the passing of such a wonderful human being . My sincere sympathy to Bridie , Tom , Dorrie and Fr John‘‘s extended family. Éamon and family.

This humble, dedicated priest gave me my first confession and also married my wife and I. He was my wife’s CYO Advisor in high school. We were able to see him a few years ago in Shannon Bridge.
He was DEEPLY loved by many in South Texas!

My sincere condolences to the Killeen family on the death of Msgr. John. He ministered faithfully to the people of South Texas for many years in various parishes, mainly the rural ones outside of Corpus Christi. I had the opportunity of personally visiting with him in Ballinasloe a number of years ago and I can honestly say that he was a great, loving and kind priest. He will be truly missed. May he now rest in peace.
