Fr. Jeremiah McCarthy helped restore my faith in the Catholic Church and married my wife Beth and I. He was a great man that I was lucky enough to consider a dear friend and a confidant who I will miss sorely. I am still finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that he is gone

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Father Jerry. He was a big part of our lives, here in Savannah for many years. He has baptized our children, heard first confessions, given first Holy Communions presided over family marriages and given last rites. He was there to help me through the deaths of my parents, Bill and Harriet, and of my oldest daughter, Clancy. To say he will be missed is an understatement. God bless you all. Thanks for letting him become such a big part of our lives. May he rest in peace.
