Richard was a true Christian who dearly loved his Lord and Saviour. It was a joy to fellowship with him and hear him share his love of Jesus . He loved to sing and I can hear him sing these words” And then one day I’ll cross the river
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain
And then ,as death gives way to victory
I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He reigns”
Till we meet on that beautiful shore ... Slan go foill ..

We know that Richard is now with His Savior, Jesus, whom he came into a personal relationship some years back. His outlook on life changed, being born again as described by Jesus, and studied the Word of God to the extent that he could take over leading the bible study when we went to South Africa. He loved doing the the children's story in church and playing his guitar whilst leading the children's hymn when we were taking the service. He would be off on his motorbike with Christian booklets, looking for opportunities on sharing the gospel. So, Richard's life was changed, and even in his final weeks was still hoping that he would be able to get out on that bike to share the Word. The book of Revelation says that the sea will give up its dead and Richard will rise up from the sea on the last day with his new glorified body. We also enjoyed a life long interest in railways, so there was a lot to Richard. Sadly missed in this world.
