Sincere condolences to the Kenneally family on Dick’s passing. Dick was a fixture in the Croke Park Handball Centre and a huge supporter of Dublin handball. May he rest in peace.
We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dick — a man whose hands were as skilled at playing handball as they were at squeezing out tunes from his beloved accordion.
Dick brought life, laughter, and rhythm wherever he went, often with a clever quip ready to go and a story just waiting to be told. Whether on the court or at a gathering, he had that rare knack for lifting spirits and leaving smiles.
To his sons Richie and David, and to the extended Kinneally family, we offer our heartfelt sympathies. Know that his warmth, wit, and passion live on through you. Dick’s memory will echo not just in the halls of the handball alley, but in the music he shared and the lives he touched.
May he rest in peace — and may the great ceilí above be all the better now that he’s arrived, accordion in hand.

It is with great sadness that we heard of Dick's passing, and our condolences to David, Richie and Alan and the extended Kenneally family and to Dicks myriad of friends. Dick was one of the greatest personalities we had in the handball world. Not only was he a clever handball player who won many titles but he was also a strong advocate and activist when Dublin Handballers and the local community around Croke Park sought to be treated fairly by the Croke Park GAA in relation to handball and community facilities. This resulted in the provision of a new €12m centre for the community and handballers. Many years ago, Dick was also co-founder of the The Concerned GAA Members Association, that created quite a stir in the media at the time and was very helpful in advancing our project with the GAA leading as it did to the setting up of a €150,000 Trust Fund for promotion of Dublin handball among our youth.
To friends who had suffered loss, Dick was thoughtful and compassionate and on anniversaries would send flowers to let them know that their loved one was not forgotten.
Dick was very proud of his family, and was inseparable from the love of his life the late Teresa, his rock, whom he has now joined in the next world.
As mentioned at the beautiful service for him, Dick was the lovable rogue that we all loved, the man of highest integrity that we all admired, and the gentleman that we were privileged to know.

David and Richard, so very sad to hear of your dad's passing. He was a great neighbour, always there to lend a hand, doing jobs for everyone and entertaining with his accordian playing in the back garden. He always watched out for mam too, particularly in the later years of her life. Rest in peace Dick.
