It’s been a while but I fondly remember Dick as always being fully committed to anything he did either at work or in his personal life. During his early years Dick took on a challenging assignment with Schreiner Nigeria, during which he paved the way for many to follow by establishing a reputation for ex Aer Corps personnel. One of the great characters of the aviation world where he always served his chosen career with distinction.

Back in the mid-seventies when I met you first Dick, you were a guiding light and an inspirational man to us young aircraft technicians at the time, may you rest in peace Dick.

My sincerest condolences to the Murray family.

I first met Dick when I joined Aer Arann. He was a character to say the least! I have many fond memories of him and remember him being very gracious, and patient, with his time when it came to helping a young person learn something.

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the funeral in person but was able to watch the live stream. The music was a fine tribute, and I was very impressed by how well his children spoke of him in their time of distress.

I first met Dick on the 2/3/1970 when 8 of us Class X joined the Aer Corps.
Those were the days.
