As a student of SMC many years ago, I have good memories of Mr. Stack. He taught me Latin and Irish and as a teacher, he was a gentleman. If my recollection is correct, Dick was a great fan of Réics Carló, a comic book fictional Irish detective hero. Condolences to all his family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Beautiful memories of lifts home to Ardranny and back to Mary I with Dick and Jo. St Aubin was home from home on many weekends for me. Their hospitality was out of this world. Our sincere condolences to Mary, Jane, Ewan and the extended Stack family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dick as a young teacher in St. Munchin's in 1986. I was only there for a short term. He was so kind and nice to me. I even spoke about him recently when out in NCW.
He made a lasting impression, a beautiful person and a real gentleman.

A caring and generous heart and a love of subject happily passed on to those he taught. His family can be extremely proud of his legacy and he will be sadly missed by all who met him on his journey through life. Go raibh mile maith agat
