What a loss. Dick was a fantastic character and always had a smile on his face. Thanks for all the long conversations and the short cuts.

Very very sorry to hear of the passing of dick for years and years I went over to get my hair cut off dick my dad started to bring me over to him from the age of 10 I went to secondary school in ballymun and every body in the area even as far as finglas and beyond knew dick fondly the story you,d be told every Monday back in school of did you go to dick on sat (did he clean out his gold fish tank) went around for years was such a nice man and very very popular whom everybody knew fondly will be missed (legend) Dermot o Sullivan

I extend my deepest sympathies to Mr Brown four daughters and extended family on the passing of a lovely neighbour. I am unable to attend funeral due to hospital appointment. But I will be thinking of you all.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Dick, known to many in Glasnevin and the surrounding area as a real hero. The impact he's had on the community carries on with the stories and banter in the barber shop almost every day.
