Dear Aileen & family.
Susie, Lucy and Holly were so sad to hear about Dick's passing. We all have our own individual memories of him. Mine start with the Dublin Boy Singers, from Zoo dinners, trips to the Isle of Man, and concerts under Frank Hughes' baton in St Brigid's. Little was I to know that 20 years later I would then be acting on stage with Dick - my first performance being his last (An Inspector Calls, 2013). But I then had the pleasure of being directed by him, in his quiet observant manner, and have learnt so much from him.
My parents, Penny & Robbie, also send their condolences.
Dick was a great friend to many, both young and old.
We will remember him with great fondness.

To Aileen & Family sincere condolences on the passing of Dick. He was such a Gentleman and I’ll always remember his phone call to me regarding his broken down Honda 50 he was disposing off but did not want to bother me if it was to much trouble. He would not take any money off me when I told him it could be fixed. After much persuasion we finally agreed I would give him 50 Eur to give to his favorite charity
Many’s the Happy miles I traveled on Dicks Honda for years after and I was always grateful for Dicks generosity.

Dear Aileen and Family, we are deeply sorry to hear of the death of Dick. It was always a pleasure over many many years to meet him at Guinness Choir occasions and enjoy the chat. We shall miss him.
Deepest sympathy to Naomi, Gerry and all the Family
I got to know Dick in the early 1960's in 101 Thomas Street where those of us coming off duty cleaned up and recuperated after our shifts in The Brew house, Fermentation, Container, or Traffic Departments.
We last met some months ago also near 101 and recalled those early carefree days. He was donning his helmet to go home on his beloved motor bike.
He was always a delight to meet. I shall greatly miss him.

We In the Guinness Choir have fond memories of a true gentleman who so willingly gave his time and talent to assist and support the choir in so many ways over a long number of years.
