Deepest condolences to Maime and Family. I will never forget Dixie as a role model, he had had the most amazing ability to stay calm and jovial under very strenuous conditions. One night when when we were pair trawling in Fethard Bay with Scaldi, we were hauling up and Scaldi pulled along side and hopped over to exchange ends. Suddenly Scaldis boat locked into gear and pulled away heading straight for Grange beach. But Dixie never lost control, he just calmly told us to get the net up and with the bag end barely out of the water put the Kings Bay in full throttle and rescued Scaldi’s boat, and then laughed his head off.
