He was a great character who lived life to the full. The today tonight programme on TV wasn’t a patch on the political discussions in Shanks house on Friday nights with Willies Rissoles on the menu.
Do Do lit up everything he partook in and his friendly demeanour was infectious with no offence intended for anyone.
He will be sadly missed by all his family and wide circle of friends.

I'm so sorry to learn of the death of the great Richie. I remember him with great fondness from the banter of working days at Snow-Cream Dairy to the joy of casual encounters on the street down the years.
