Many years ago now, my late father Michael and I used to carry out gardening maintenance at the Mews; Richard and Judy couldn't have been kinder: they were always a pleasure to deal with. You never saw either one without the other. What a partnership, in every meaning of the word.

Richard was my confidante, my wise and eternally patient counsel, and a man anybody would be lucky to count among their friends. I am incredibly privileged to have known both Richard and Judy for over thirty years and for their friendship I will be forever grateful. So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Worked alongside Dick in Roscommon many years ago and enjoyed his great humour and gentle spirit. Have wonderful memories of that time when Dick and Judy lived in their traditional thatched house near Glenamaddy. Our sincere sympathy to Judy, Fergus and Kieran.
