As first cousins on the Halpenny side our memories of Richard are when we visited Castlerea one summer and all Richard would eat was cold tinned beans. Very easy to please! May He Rest In Peace

So shocked and saddened when Frank told me of his beautiful brother's passing. My memory of Richie is of a quite, gentle teenager who knew how to have fun.
Typical of Richie, he invited me to drop in and stay with him and friends during his J1 in Boston, which included watching Live Aid on a tiny TV. His kindness at that time has never been forgotten.
Judging from the comments of others, he remained true to his nature into adulthood.
My condolences to his wife, to Frank, and all the Halpenny family. Cherish the memories he gifted you❣️
