My deepest condolences to Richard's wife Patrice and children Rosanne, Alex and Elaine. I worked for Richard back in the BTT days, before he ended up becoming my customer. He was one of the kindest bosses I have had. He was also very fair and great fun. Thinking of you all.

Very sad to hear of Richard's death. It was a great pleasure to know him and spend time with him at the National Yacht Club, and work with him on "Luna Lady" as Committee Boat at various race days. May all your good memories of him sustain you at this time of loss.

We were deeply saddened to hear about Richard’s passing. He has been a valued patient of ours for many years, and we will always remember him for his kindness, strength, and the warmth he brought to our ward.Please know that our thoughts are with you all during this incredibly difficult time. I am sad to hear of Richards death , Alex and all Richard's family.
He was my generation, a true first cousin.
Once we were at a dance in the Clontarf Rugby Club, and I mentioned to Richard that the band wern't very good. (They were probably fantastic with Colum Wilkinson perhaps).
Richard replied "A dance is like life, it's what you make of it "
I will watch the funeral on line in London, and apologise for not being beside you all.
