Richard O'Shea

Deepest sympathies to Jonathan and the O'Shea family. Richard was one in a million, and was always able to get a smile from whoever he was talking with, his sense of humour would light up a room. He will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues in DSP.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Richard. I had the privilege of being his student in the early 1990s, and he had a profound and lasting impact on my life. His kindness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humour left a deep impression on me and on so many of my classmates.

He treated his students with a fatherly care, and his compassion and understanding made school life — especially for boarders and those going through difficult times — much easier to bear. He had a unique ability to notice and support vulnerable students, and he did so with genuine care and humanity.

I will always cherish my many happy memories of him in the classroom, where his humour brought lightness and ease, even during challenging times. On a personal level, his kindness and humour helped me navigate the emotional turbulence of my teenage years, and I have no doubt that he played a significant role in shaping the person I am today.

My sincere sypathy to you Jonathan and all of the O' Shea Family. He will be remembered with warmth, gratitude, and great respect.

May you you rest in peace Richard. I have no doubt that you are now singing with the heavenly choirs in heaven.

I just heard the sad news today of Richards passing. Where do i begin to Sum up someone who was so full of life, he was a true gentleman made time for everyone. He was kind caring and had the biggest heart i know.
He was always up for a good laught, my life has been truly blessed having known Richard. I hope you get the best bed in Heaven.

Jonathon , we were deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Richards passing . He was and always will be one of the stand out characters in the cafe, his sense of humour ,his kindness and willingness to help others and general positiveness was something we could all learn from. Oh Jonathan, I am so sorry to see that Richard has passed away. My sympathy to you and Richards sisters and the O'Shea family. As só many have said he had such a wonderful sense of humour and great smile which will stay with me. It certainly cheered me up to meet the two of you before I retired.
