It's a very sad day when I say goodbye to my good friend Pat. I regret not being there in person as I'm out of the country.
I first met Pat in the Skerries barbershop singers. I got to know and like him in 2001 when we roomed together on a trip abroad. We became close friends when we did the Camino together in 2009. We enjoyed a holiday together in 2019 as four couples. That was a highlight. I always found him courteous, gentle, funny and good company. I admired his musical and athletic abilities.
He'll be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.

Its with deep regret I heard of Pat's passing. Although we lived in opposite sides of the country we became friends due to our involvement in Masters Athletics sometimes rooming together on away trips. Pat was a much better runner than me but as he was younger I always used that excuse.
Our last trip together was a cross-country race in Belfast against a North of Ireland team. Pat was a great raconteur with stories, anecdotes etc.
His last words always to me were "mind yourself" RIP Pat mind yourself up above.

Very sorry to hear of Pats passing. Pat was a great character and we had some good catch ups with him over the years. Condolences to Sean and all the family.

Sorry to hear of Pat’s passing, another one of the good guy’s gone. We became good friends swapping cancer stories in the golf club. He had many other stories to tell too. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend as I’m in Singapore at present. Commiserations to all his family.
