I was so sorry to hear about Richard's passing. He was a gentleman who always had a smile and a kind word and I have many happy memories of our time working together in the RCB.

So very sad to learn that Richard has passed away. I have many happy memories of him as a colleague in the RCB - the ready smile, his sense of humour and ever the gentleman. My condolences to his devoted family at this very sad time, especially following so soon after Olga's loss.
So very sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of Richard and Olga. We have fond memories of them both from our RCB days.
With sincere sympathy to all the family at this difficult time.
Dear Linda, Jenny, Nicky and Mike,
how sad for you all to have to go through the loss of your wonderful dad and so soon after losing your beautiful mum but with her is where he was happiest and now they are reunited- a beautiful love story that was so beautifully summed up in Mike’s poem.
He told me how ‘bowled over’ he was by his amazing family and how ‘you all did him proud’ on the day of dear Olga’s funeral so please take some comfort from knowing how much he appreciated and loved you. Anyone whoever met dear Richard loved him instantly, kind, generous, charming a true gentleman- so many lovely memories of him to mention but above all we will miss his captivating smile, his ‘Yum’ hugs and his parting ‘Good Lucks’. Love always, Corrinna, Richard, Cormac, Aran, Lorcan, Aoife and Cara xxx
So sorry to hear of the passing away of Richard, and also recently Olga. My sincere sympathies to the family. Richard always had a friendly greeting as a neighbour and sailor. May he Rest in Peace.
Sending our love from California on the passing of Olga and Richard to all of their family. During our 5 years in Dalkey, Olga and Richard shared so much love and hospitality to us, our daughters Anna, Sara, and Maia, and countless friends and family who visited. When we moved back to California in 2016, we deeply missed them personally, the community at St Patrick's and the lovely village Dalkey.

May their spirits of hospitality and adventure continue to inspire.

Grace + Peace be with you all
I'm really sorry to hear that Richard, and also recently his dear wife Olga, has passed away. Richard was of course a well known and respected figure in sailing in Dun Laoghaire and especially in the Glen class, around Dalkey and in the Church of Ireland. He was the perfect gentleman, even when racing, at the helm of his boat Glendun! Richard and Olga will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to their family

Once again we are truly saddened to learn of the death of our long time neighbour & friend, Richard so soon after his beloved Olga had passed. Our sincere condolences to Linda, Jenny, Nicky, & Michael as well as Jill & his wider family. Richard was the consummate gentleman- dapper, quietly spoken, warm and such a good friend especially to the growing Slevin brood on Newpark Road. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him but none more so than his devoted children & grandchildren. It’s a consolation that he is once again united with his beloved Olga.
