I am very sorry to learn of Richards passing. A good contact for railway news. Condolences to his family and friends in Dublin. RIP Richard.
Sincerely sorry to learn of Richard passing. We encountered one another with our cameras on various occasions over the past decade or more, including Holyhead, Borris-in-Ossary, Belfast or indeed Dublin. Any time we had a conversation, his knowledge was one of a kind and experiences like no other. A man who had plenty of time for a chat and will be sorely missed amongst the Railway Family. My condolences to the wider family circle and his lifetime close friend Colm. Thinking of all at this very sad time.
My sincere condolences to Richard's family on his passing. I had many a great conversation & plenty of laughs over the years with Richard around many parts of the railway. A truly lovely man who loved the railway & the many friends & people he met on his travels. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace Richard it was a pleasure knowing you.
Deepest condolences to Richard's family and friends on the very sad occasion of Richard's passing. He was a gentle, wonderful person, with an infectious smile, and full of knowledge about the railways, which he freely shared. I would have met him at various shows and exhibitions, as well as out 'along the road', and he always left a lasting impression. May he rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy to Richard's family on behalf of the Old Dublin Society and personally.
He was a magnificent railway photographer and a true gentleman.
Deeply saddened at Richard's death. He was good company and generous in sharing his superb railway pictures. Less well known, but always deeply appreciated and remembered was his sharing of his experiences in caring for elderly relatives suffering from Alzheimers. His advice and guidance was invaluable. May he rest in peace.
