I only heard today that Richie has passed away. I was so sorry to hear it. Have many Memories of long ago in the 'A' district. A lovely man who has gone too early. My deepest Condolences to all who loved him. Rest in peace Ritchie. Was a pleasure to have known you.

I am very saddened to hear of Richie’s passing. I joined the guards with Richie in 1980 and met him occasionally over the years. He was a very caring and sympathetic person and wore his heart on his sleeve. Deepest sympathies to his family and May he Rest in Peace.

Served with Richie in Kevin St (2007-2014) on Unit C. A proud Waterford man and gent of a man. Great company away from all the stresses and strains of the job. Only crossed paths on a couple of occasions since then but would be met by a smile that would light up a room when we did. God bless you Richie. Codhladh sámh.
