So sorry for your loss.

My wife and I met Rikard on our first trip to see the Dundee Stars in Belfast and he made us feel most welcome as away fans away from home. We were fortunate enough to catch up with him a couple more times at games with our wee one and it felt like no time had gone by. Was gutted to have missed Rikard on our most recent trip and we’d exchanged messages to catch up the next time we were at each other’s rinks.

Rita - Deeply saddened by the sudden passing of your beloved son Rickard. Such a warm, respectable and honourable person. Great memories of him during his school days in Scoil Mhuire. So sad to know that he like his cousin Shane were taken from this world far too soon. Their passing gives true meaning to those immortal words: 'the good die young.' Rickard was a classmate and friend from our earliest school days. I have fond memories of playing with him and his cousin Rose when we were young. In the Comp, Rickard sat beside me in two or three of our shared subjects in Junior and Leaving Cert, and he always brought his humour and kindness to every lesson.

He was a pure gentleman and a funny lad.

I am so sorry for your loss. Rickard was such a lovely, patient, sweet guy. I used to spend Saturday nights in McHughs with him and our group of friends after hockey games. My best memory of Rickard was at Playoffs, he simply had the time of his life!
