I have no words to describe the pain of losing Ricky. A kind man, who always put us first no matter what. He taught us to never give up, and to try our best on and off the pitch. He used to always ask us about our lives and how we were getting on and messaged us if we were ever injured or sick. That was the type of man he was, giving, loving, caring. I’ll never stop missing him. I was so proud to have him as a manager, his approval meant the world to me. Deepest sympathy on the sudden passing of Ricky. He gave a huge amount to the 2006 boys – training sessions, matches and trips to Croke Park. We have lost his day to day presence among us but he lives on in every training session or match that any of those lucky enough to fall under his guidance will take part in.
