Sorry to hear about your husband, Yvonne
No words can describe my sorrow at hearing news of the death of Ries. To me he was a brother, friend and colleague. A great artist, designer and cinematographer whom I first met in 1968. Together we formed a partnership in film making with the Guinness Film Society- film group, which produced three memorable films now remastered and in safe custody of the Irish Film Institute.ie. To his wife Yvonne and son Marlon - Angela and I offer our deepest condolences. May he rest in peace. RIP.
Saddened at the news of your loss.
Your in our thoughts.

I met Ries many years ago when diving with the Dalkey Scuba Divers. He was a lovely human being. Rest in peace Ries.
Ries was an excellent cameraman, both technically and creatively. I was his assistant on several of the shoots for the Guinness Film Society many decades ago when he showed great patience in waiting for that one great shot to come along. May he rest in peace.
