the wisdom, knowledge and kindness she offered so freely, was contagious
She often paid a bowl of soup forward for the next customer that joined her table

Though i lived across the road i only got to know 'Mrs' Coll in more recent years when she would be out and about enjoying our city and its highways and byways. I am so sad to hear that this amazing lady has left this world but what a legend she was! I got to know Rita over 12 years ago when I started working with Croí. She was an inspiration in her outlook and approach to life and the epitome of healthy ageing! For many years she took an active part in exercise classes, talks and lectures, inperson and later embracing our online programmes. In her 80s she wowed us all as she took to the Catwalk for our charity fashion show proving that age is not a barrier to what you can achieve. Condolences to her family of whom she was so proud. She was one of a kind and I remember her fondly today. Annie x

Very sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. I met Rita in the eighties I was good friends with Deirdre and Grainne. She was always encouraging and positive. You can see where they got their love of sport and competitiveness from.
