I was so sad to hear of your Mums passing.Rita meant so much to my Mum.Lifelong friends in the real sense of the word.
I have great memories of staying in Tubbercurry and of holidaying in Dunmoran with you ..all squashed into Rita’s beetle !
My memories of your home include the fabulous smell of percolating coffee,porridge,baked soda bread ,a swimming pool !! Comfort at its best .
Anyway I am so sorry I didn’t know at the time,as some of us would certainly have travelled to Sligo.

Rita was such a lovely lady. I really enjoyed the time with her and Philomena in Kyoto and Nara. Also when I visited her hometown, I was touched by her kindness. I can imagine how she will be missed by family and friends. I will never forget her kindness. Hope that time will heal your hearts and that beautiful memories will encourage you.

As a founding member of The South Sligo Summer School she brought the traditional music of South Sligo to the world stage.
