Sincere condolences to Mark and Jessie on the passing of their mam. Rita worked closely with Tommy Larkin in setting up UISCE many years ago. We were part of a memorable field trip to the Netherlands in 2000. Good times. Rita was always a very kind hearted person. Glad to have known her. R.I.P.

Mark, Jess, sorry to hear the news of your Mam's passing. Rita was one of the good ones in the DRC. Her dignified presence and empathic nature kept a lot of us going for longer than we would have. She gave great and well timed hugs, a listening ear and support to anyone in crisis and instilled confidence. Rita had a grounding presence, a filthy laugh and a wry sense of humor that could shift the kitchen energy in a heartbeat. May the Light continue to shine upon her in her release, and upon her beautiful children and grand children. Slan abhaile a chara.
