Ashley, Keith, I missed Ma's funeral and having heard about Rita's passing away, I want to extend my sincere condolences to you all. Our paths hadnt crossed for a good while, one time I'd occasionally meet her and we'd chat. But I hadnt seen her for a long time. We worked together one time (fado fado - where do the years go to?!) and I recall us having good laughs at various things and suchlike, she'd a great sense of humour.

It’s hard to put into words the sense of sadness that we feel with the passing of Rita. To many, she was a neighbour, but to those who truly knew her, she was family.

I have many fond memories of spending time with her while growing up - whether it was a holiday celebration or just an after school visit.
When Catherine came into my life and we visited Ireland for the first time, Rita welcomed her with open arms and treated her like family - a memory that we still speak of fondly to this day.

Though Rita may no longer be with us in person, her spirit, her laughter, and her kindness will live on in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Rita.
