I always loved bumping into her on the South Strand and have such fond memories of her art classes and craft shop growing up. Such a beautiful, positive and caring lady. May she rest in peace X

I was so very shocked and sad to hear the news about Rita. She was such a lovely, friendly and interesting person. It was always a pleasure to meet and chat to to her. Skerries will be a poorer place without her.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Rita. We have fond memories of her especially when we travelled to Sicily together. She was such a kind and loving person.

We were very sad to hear about Rita’s passing. She was a very special lady, with a great fondness for drama and theatre. Rita was a very loyal patron and friend of our group for many years and attended all of our productions over the years. She particularly enjoyed our annual One-Act Drama Festival in November each year, and we have fond memories of her last visit just a few short months ago. When any of us met her out and about she always brought a special energy and aliveness to the encounters, and we loved chatting to her. Rest in Peace Rita .

So very sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. Adored her little craft shop always found something special there. The bells would ring out as you entered her shop and out she would pop always smiling, always enthusiastic, happy to promote local crafted pieces. Such a lady… so full of kindness and goodness, always joyful, positive, colourful… It was a blessing knowing Rita, enjoying a little chat with her… she always had time for you; so caring, interesting and creative… she brightened your day!
Rita cared deeply for Skerries and she did so much for the town, from the days when she run that beautiful craft shop and the exciting workshops that she lovingly organised for the children. We feel so fortunate having known her… she will be terribly missed. Our heartfelt condolences to her beloved family at this most difficult time❤️

My folks and I first got to know Rita when we briefly shared custody of a loveable feline rogue called Charlie. We became friends and met Richie who then became our electrician. Rita was a gorgeous warmhearted woman and she and Richie were a wonderful couple. My husband Peter (Halpin) would also like to offer his condolences.
