I was so sorry to hear about Rita’s passing.
She was a huge part of my childhood growing up and a dear friend to my mother. When I think of Rita I think of her, aunt Mary and my grandmother . It is , in a lot of ways, the end of an era .
I have very fond memories of her always.
I know this is a big loss for Willie, Mossy , Pat and families.
I wish she could have had the big send off she would have so enjoyed - a joyful celebration of a life very well lived. She definitely knew how to live IN the stream of life and not outside it.
When all this craziness has settled, I hope we will all get to see one another in person and raise a glass to her memory.
I love this picture of her - it embodies her “Joie de Vivre” perfectly !

Auntie Rita was an amazing and inspirational woman. The few times I was lucky enough to be with her; from when she came to Canada to me going to Ireland and staying in contact over the years. She shared her love of life, love of music and dancing, energy and "driving to places in record time". You will always be in my heart.

To Mossie, Willie and Family, we are so sorry for your loss.
Rita was one of the warmest, most gracious, generous and wonderful ladies Lynne and I have ever known. Many wonderful memories of drinking juice and eating biscuits in the ‘drapery’ as a wee boy, to dancing with her at my wedding, to seeing her give my own son juice and biscuits in her kitchen (the central station of Edenderry!) She loved life and she loved everyone and we are all better for having had her in our lives. I was so glad we were able to have coffee, juice and biscuits with her only several weeks ago. She was the most wonderful dear friend to my Mum and family and she will be sorely missed!
Soar with the angels and Rest in Peace Rita.
