Rob has always been a good friend and we often met for lunch and pints always kept in contact. So after trying an numerous times to contact I called to house. It is with deepest of sympathy to ye I found out from neighbors of Rob death. I shall miss our pints and reminiscing and his rugby knowledge
Sincere condolences to the Andrews family on the sad and unexpected passing of Rob. I worked with Rob for a short period in my time in Cork County Council Water Services, he was a "Good Guy", a great character and a real gentleman. Rob was someone you were always glad to see as he was a great colleague and always fun to work with. He had a great sense of humour and he always seemed to just enjoy life. Deepest sympathy to the Andrews family on the passing of Robert. Cousin Rob was a great character, with a lovely smile and a great wit, Rest in peace Rob.
Sincere condolences to Rob's relatives and friends. Through a mutual friend I met Rob several times watching rugby at the Briar Rose in Douglas and at the Gaelic in Carrigaline. He always came across as being a very decent man.

I worked with Rob in City Hall where his astute and pragmatic approach as an Engineer to solving issues was greatly appreciated by all who worked with him. He was always very positive and friendly and a person you’d look forward to meeting.

The Club sends sincere sympathy and condolences to Robert's relatives and friends. Robert's father George (late of Ringaskiddy) played Senior Football with Cork in 1935 and his maternal Uncle Andy Johnson (late of Coolmore Lodges) along with Leo Brady won all Ireland Hurling medals with Cork in 1925, - families of renown.

So sorry to hear about Rob,often met him at The Briar Rose,really knew his rugby and was such an interesting and funny fella.
We had many entertaining conversations and discussions over an evening pint in the Gaelic with Rob. He will certainly be missed.
