My late dad, Eddie, worked with Bob in Ballyphehane Credit Union. They also shared their love of music in the Cork Operatic Society (forgive me if I have the wrong name).
I met Bob on a number of occasions and will always remember he was such a gentleman, enthusiastic in his support of the community and his friendly disposition.

I first met Bob as a young fella though my dad,when he was Hon Secretary of the short lived Cork City Opera company (1983 - 1985).
Since then,he remained a great and loyal friend of the family,many an evening spent at home listening to his wonderful stories (mainly musical),the most important one being how he and his beloved Phyllis met in the chorus of the Cork Grand Opera group in the early 1950's.
