My family and I would like to say a sincere thank you to all who have expressed their condolences and paid tribute to my brother Bob. It has been really moving hearing of all the ways he connected with people, both in the local community and across the country, be it through his work with CELT, his love of music, or enjoying a beer in the local pub. He was known as a man of few words but he made them count and actions, as ever, speak louder than words. We miss him greatly.
So sad to hear of Bob’s passing, and offer our deepest condolences to Jim and family.
Bob(Tug) and I were in the Royal Navy together in the early seventies and became good friends, we had many a joyous evening and frequently visited my parents home where he got to know our family and even had a trip out to Canada to stay with my sister Carol and family. He met Jackie at the same time as myself and inevitably became my best man at our wedding. He became a great favourite of our children whenever he came to visit us.
You’ll be sadly missed but never forgotten. RIP
Sincere condolences to the Wilson family on the very sad passing of Bob. May he rest in peace.
It is with sadness that we learned of the death of Bob. He has been a great friend to ISSA over the years and a profound inspiration, especially in his passion and activism for the environment. Condolences to his family and friends in their loss.

- The Staff and Board of Irish Seed Savers
Bob was such a lovely man. Quiet and unassuming, I had the pleasure of dealing with him through Irish Seed Savers and got to see him again last year. He will be missed but his legacy will long continue. Sending condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him.
We in Green Foundation Ireland were so sorry to learn of the death of Bob. When we held our Zoom talk on "Do Healthy Earthworms = Healthy Soils?" with Mark Hodson of the University of York in Nov 2022, even though he was unable to attend, Bob gave us some very insightful questions that he wished answered (which Mark did during the course of his talk). He will be missed.
So sad to hear of Bob's passing. A quiet man with brilliant ideas. We will miss him so much in the environmental movement.
I was so sad to hear about Bob's passing. Bob had a lovely personality, he was dedicated to the world of nature and crafts and such a stalwart of CELT. As a result of Bobs commitment many people from Clare and elsewhere enjoyed wonderful environmental training and inspiration in lovely woodland settings in East Clare. He will be missed and remembered by many. RIP Bob.
Condolences to the family of Bob Wilson. He was a great guy gone too soon. May he rest in peace.
My deepest sympathies to Bob’s family, friends and colleagues. His passion, kindness and steely determination to protect the environment will be greatly missed.
All at TDA were deeply saddened at the news of Bob's passing.
Bob has worked with us over many projects in our Community Woodland in Tuamraney, we greatly valued his expertise.
Our deepest sympathy to all his family and may his gentle soul rest in peace.
For over 55 years Bob's friends from 44 Boulevard, Hull, knew him as Jake, from a particularly bad, but much loved joke of the time. 3 of us were due to meet him for a wee reunion the day of his passing. We were stunned and saddened by the news. My thoughts travelled back the 55 years to our many joyous and raucous renditions of 'Only a Hobo' and 'Willie and the Poor Boys'. It is only fitting that our fellow Boulevardier, Paul Hodson, was in place to let St Peter know that 'Big Jake was coming into town'. The Boulevard Boys will miss them both. RIP.
Thank you Bob for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us. You were a kind and patient teacher.
Go raibh maith agat.
Go raibh tú ar shlí na fírinne anois.
I was so sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He was a kind, wise, caring and gentle man. His commitment to the protection and restoration of our natural environment will be greatly missed.
We worked together on national policy at the Environmental Pillar and locally in Clare PPN. His insight and vast knowledge will be greatly missed. A vacuum was left when Andrew passed and now we've lost you too. Thank you for everything and rest in peace Bob.

Solàs na bhFlaitheàs do.
Deepest Condolences to Jim and all the family.

Bob was a dear friend and we have wonderful memories of spending Christmas evenings watching TV and playing Scrabble.

As co-managers of CELT during the early days of the charity, we shared great adventures, and along with all members, watched the organisation grow from strength to strength. The hours we spent building dry stone walls together were a joy.

Through meadows and forests, over hills and mountains, the inspiration and knowledge Bob shared will stay with us far into the future. He will be sadly missed.

Jim and daugthers and family, condolences with the loss of Bob.
Bob, the seeds you sowed will grow into strong trees. You made a difference. Thank you.
I am saddened to hear of the loss of your human form Bob. However I am sure your spirit will fly freely now, once you have settled into your spirit form and understand how freeing it is to leave time and mortal worries behind.

Samhain occurs on 7th November this year, but I intend to celebrate in a very ancient, sacred site, on the hill above my home, on Saturday 9th November, due to my own mortal worries. My practice is to write a personal message on tissue paper. Set one corner alight, rotate the paper until almost burnt away, then release it to burn away, carrying my prayer to the universe, as I chant for you.

Rest easy my gentle friend. I hope your ashes fertilise a strong oak sapling, so your energy might bring beauty in earthly form, to give you a space to shelter from the storms of mortal chaos and bring energy to those who sit in your shelter.

(Might I also add our late friend, Rae Furey to my message, and to our memories, at this time my friend)

Tóg é go bog é, 's codhladh go sámh.
Very shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's passing, coming up to Samhain.

Bob, you did a fantastic job helping the planet, legendary.

Rest in peace a Chara, fly high xxx
Sincere sympathy to all the family at this sad time. May Bob Rest in Peace.
