My Sincere Condolences to Ann, Robert, June, Leslie, Ken and Don to his brothers and to all the extended family as you mourn the loss of such a great man.

Early in my career, half a century ago, over a five year period, I was a regular visitor to the Hovenden farm and I look back on my relationship with Bobby as mutually beneficial. I will always remember the hospitality of Mary and Bobby and, with gratitude, their cooperation in facilitating an open day on the farm. He farmed to perfection.

I was delighted to see him so hale and hearty on the RTE Marty & Bernard Durrow visit a couple of years ago. His long, active life and his service to the Durrow community are worthy of celebration.

Deepest sympathy to Ann,Robert,June,Leslie,Ken,Don and all the extended family on the sad passing of your beloved Dad Bobby.As a young Agricultural Advisor back in the 1970's I worked with Bobby to set up his paddock grazing system and his modern housing facilities.I remember him with great affection for his patience,integrity and being an innovative farmer and wonderful gentleman.Bobby allowed me to hold farm demonstrations on his lovely farm for farmers all over laois.It was my luck in life to have known Bobby RIP.
