Oh what a live wire …Bobby Johnson …will root out the Cahir Dramatic Soc moments …when he was front of house

when I was I nerdy teenager
( useless at football) spent hours with yr dad Jimmy in Blind St talking listening remembering how they/we all got ‘here’ / inspirational for a young lad ….as a photographers technician w Phil Condon he was rounded up by the Brits when the three officers were shot at Woodroofe in 1921 ….it was fair day in Cahir & the whole populace were rounded up from The Square & ‘coralled’ down The Mall ….

Dear Bobby, I will remember you for many things - your musical talent, your acting ability, your love of animals and your great sense of fun and devilment. But most of all, I will remember you for your kindness. When my darling Dad, Gerry Condon, died suddenly one December morning many years ago, I was abroad, studying in Germany. It was a hard winter and the roads were treacherous. Yet, you volunteered to go to Dublin Airport and meet me. It was a tough journey and not easy to meet a devastated, bereft teenager. Yet you comforted me as best you could and brought me safely home to my mother and family. I am glad I bumped into you a little while ago and we had a great chat. I hope Heaven has lots of music, plays and merriment. God bless, Bobby and thank you for your kindness. I will never forget. Love, Annette x
