Bobby was such a nice colleague in Guinness and Old Wesley and such a talented and committed rugby player with Old Wesley and Guinness rugby club . He ‘Owned ‘ the Full Back position for so many years and rarely got injured , that he became irreplaceable .
He will be missed by so many .

I remember Bobby well during his time with Dolphin RFC in Cork. He played full back for the club in the 1975 Munster Senior Cup final won by UCC. My last conversation with him was after a Dolphin Old Wesley game in Musgrave Park a few years ago when we were in the same AIL division. A much loved and respected man by all who knew him.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bobby. He was a great inspiration to have beside you in the changing room, especially as a young player and he was in his 50's. Who can forget his contribution to that Guilfoyle cup win in 1988, the amazing skills he still had,even then. He was also a great source of knowledge when chatting to him about the OW Senior team and their chances in any particular game. I was last talking to him at the AIL Semi final play off in Shannon a couple of months ago, he was still as happy and chatty as ever.

A consumate clubman who never wanted anything more than to ensure the company of his family and friends and to cheer "Come On Wesley".
