Robert Byrne

I was very sorry to hear of Robbie's passing. We both hung around together from our early teens to our early twenties when our paths in life took different directions and consequently we had not met in many years. However, I have great memories of the years Robbie and Myself spent growing up together.

I was away in France and could not attend his funeral mass. You are all in Deirdre's and my prayers at this sad time.

The Yellow Lane gang are very sad to hear of Robbie's passing. We have such happy memories of growing up and tasting life around Whitebarn and Nugent Road with Robbie. He was responsible for introducing me to Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin. Wish you were here Robbie. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Our deepest condolences to all the Byrne family on this sad loss. We knew Robert from Grow Whitefriar Street group. He was a lovely and very genuine person, always a gentleman. Through Grow we met as a group for tea in the Grafton hotel. We will remember Robert for his kindly manner, his great love of music and his wonderful sense of style with his outfits. May he rest in peace.

Robert brought a sense of style to those of us who knew him through The Basin Club / Shine. His way created a formal respect for each other in our community of mutual support. Like my colleagues who know him I will miss his stories and enthusiasm for cycling through Dublin. May the Spirit of his journey find rest.
