Very sorry to hear the sad news of Robert’s passing. Apart from his professionalism and the high standards he set for himself, Robert possessed a sharp and at times mischievous sense of humour. This was evident until very recently through his frequent and witty offerings via WhatsApp. RIP

I know your heart will be heavy with the loss of Robert, but if I may, he was such a gentle, kind and loving person whose spirit so clearly lives on in the beauty of your children and grandchildren.

Every time we met you both we could see that love in Robert's relationship with Conor, Ella and Abi. He was unassuming and yet so clearly proud of the closeness of the family. I know you will all feel your loss terribly, but the world was a better place for Robert.
