Robert Delaney

Although I haven´t seen you for a long long time I have the need to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.

Over thirty years ago I went to Dublin to learn English and I ended up working at Isaac´s. I remember Bobby helping me understand the lyrics of the songs that were being played. He was cheerful, helpful and made sure everybody was alright at all times. I have always remembered the great atmosphere he created. I feel extremely sad but I am also grateful for having met such a wonderful human being.

My deepest condolences to Bobby´s family and especially to his mom. Ursula, I can imagine the pain you are going through but think that you have been blessed to have had Bobby because he IS UNIQUE.

May Bobby´s soul rest in eternal peace.

My Deepest Sympathies and Condolences go out to Mrs. Delaney, Olwyn, Ray, Iuliana, and extended family.
Growing up, Bobby struck me as a Super Friendly, Affable, Witty and a truly decent person. I have great memories playing hurling with him on "The Green" opposite his home. On one occasion I remember playing Hurling Tennis with him in our backyards. We would puck the ball over the Palm trees separating our back gardens, and at the same time talk about Limerick's upcoming Munster Championship match in Thurles.

One of my favorite quotes I ever heard from Bobby, came one day, playing video games on the arcade machines at the back of Denis Foley's shop (Now Sid's Barber's) . There was one lad raving about the Limerick Races, and trying to convince Bobby to come along the next time with his Dad. Bobby, while playing Space Invaders , turned around and said " Horse Racing... I'd rather see Joe McKenna score a goal"

I am truly sad to read of the passing of Bobby. He is part of the positive memories i have of our street growing up. Always with a smile, always with a fun greeting, always something to tell…I used to love to see Bobby passing our gate when i was a small child as he often stopped to play. He was quick, witty and always won!

Roby left us far too soon, and it’s still hard to understand why. I pray that the Lord holds him in His care and grants his soul the peace it deserves.
His vibrant and joyful spirit will always remain with us, and his memory will never fade. I will forever remember the footsteps he painted on my wall, a beautiful reminder of the joy he brought into my live.
