Very sad to hear this news last week. I have good memories of him being a great hurler and football player and one of the fastest long distance runners in the class.

So sorry to hear this.We grew up on the same team together in Thomas Davis from u8s to minor and he was a fabulous hurler and footballer with us...and great presence and great character and fun.. rest in peace a chara..our deepest condolences to all Roberts family and friends.

Rest in Peace Robert. A natural athlete who excelled in all sports. Hurling, Gaelic Football, Soccer, Rugby, Track & Field and god knows what else. Fond memories of Robert in school and on the playing field. A leader on the pitch and someone who 'had your back' in the heat of the battle! I remember this trait that Robert had clearly.

Very saddened to hear of Robert's passing. A very talented sportsperson, I have many great memories of him from his teenage years at school and as an athlete. He was a stylish
middle distance runner who enjoyed his successes. It wasn't always easy to know if he was kidding just to get a reaction!

Deeply saddened to hear of Robert’s passing. He was an exceptional athlete, a gifted runner and GAA player, and someone I remember clearly from our teenage years. My dad had the privilege of helping to coach him, and his talent always stood out. May he now find peace.
