Dear Etain, Matthew and Michael:
I was directly involved in the recruiting process that saw Robert joining DCU and it was very clear to all of us involved at the time that he was a very special talent and we felt very lucky to get him. In his words at the funeral Gary spoke for us all in capturing what Robert meant to DCU as a world-renowned academic, inspiring teacher and supportive colleague. His is a huge loss to all of us at the university and will be greatly missed here.

A wonderful lecturer to us all in DCU. Many fond memories of his humorous quips and passion for all things political. Very engaging, humble and unassuming. Sympathies to all his family and colleagues. John.
